Dance and performance often take a back seat in gymnastics, but we’re all about changing that! Our goal is to shift the standard of dance in gymnastics where performance and movement quality are valued just as much as the skills. We know it won’t happen overnight, but it starts with small changes, better tools, and a different perspective.

We blend all dance styles to keep things fun, creative, and impactful. So, if you're looking for choreography outside the traditional ‘gymnastics style,’ we can do that. Unless, of course, you rather keep it classic. We’ve got you covered either way.
We bring a different perspective to dance for gymnasts: our method isn't rooted in ballet. We believe that ballet isn't always the answer to making gymnasts stellar dancers.
THE MISSION DIRECTOR
Hey, I’m Becky, founder of Stellar. I launched Stellar for one reason: to help improve dance in the gymnastics world. I’m passionate about combining my two worlds of dance and gymnastics to help gymnasts and coaches deepen their understanding of dance, build confidence in performing and teaching it, and learn how to integrate it seamlessly into their training and routines. My goal isn’t just to create cool choreography (though that’s part of it), it’s to help gymnasts become better dancers, period.
I blend my background in professional dance and gymnastics coaching to teach movement that’s creative, expressive, and actually makes sense for gymnasts. As a gymnastics coach, I’ve worked with athletes of all levels, from pre-team to head optional coach, and I bring that deep understanding of gymnastics training to everything I do. I'm also an award winning choreographer in both gymnastics and dance.
With ongoing professional training in a variety of dance styles, I enjoy using that knowledge through Stellar, whether it’s in a dance class for gymnasts or through my choreography. And on the side, I get my own dance fix by still performing professionally.
My dance career has taken me everywhere, from national and international tours with Blippi and Sesame Street Live, to performing with Disney Cruise Line and Disney on Ice, to stages at Legoland NY, Worlds of Fun, Kings Dominion, and in professional modern and contemporary companies and regional theaters. I’ve been a dance captain, a swing, a choreographer, and a director and I bring all that real-world stage experience into every routine I build.
